The DUO

Macie and Laney make quite the pair.  Macie came over to play today
and took some pictures of herself and Laney and many, many other things
that I won't include in this post.  Laney gets so excited when Macie comes
over but doesn't quite like to share all of her toys.

They like to play house in Laney's room.

I got in on rocking the babies.

Macie captured Laney working hard cleaning the floors.

Last week when Macie came over I caught her dressing Laney up
and trying to fit into Laney's swimsuit.  Silly girl!

Laney's likes this week

 Standing in her tent tunnel.

Looking at tractors on the computer.

This girl is OBSESSED with tractors.

Rolling her tongue!

 Perfect form!

BOO BOO

On Monday, Laney was playing on her toy tractor and sliced her finger open
on a tin lid.  Mom thought she might need a stitch so she and Uncle Larry
(who came at just the right time) brought her up to the doctor's office.
I met them there and she was holding a wet washcloth over her finger.
No stitch was needed but she got a sucker instead.
That will be a pretty expensive sucker! :)

She was such a brave girl and kept her bandaid on all night and all the next
day so it could heal.  We took it off the next night and it looked great.
How amazing did God make our bodies that they could heal so quickly!

Road Trip!

Last Saturday we took a day trip to Kansas City for Jett's 1st B-day.
Unfortunately, I didn't take my camera to the party so I don't have any
pictures of sweet Jett.  But go to Whit's blog, she'll have tons of great pictures.

We put The Lion King on for Laney to watch on the way home and she laughed
and waved her hands and got all excited.....and then was asleep 5 minutes later.

Snug as a bug in her carseat.  She was such a good traveler.

The girl loves suckers!

I give Laney a sucker when we are in the car and
she is either getting sleepy or cranky to keep her happy.

Now she knows the word "Sucker" all too well and asks for it every time we
get in the car and sometimes she thinks she needs one at home too.

I took her sucker away in this picture and she wanted it back immediately.
She was not playing around.

She will even tell me when she is "All Done" and if we are at home,
she throws it away in the trashcan.  What a good girl!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Laney cuddling up with her new pillow.

Hope you all get to cuddle with your loved one(s) tonite!

Her favorite spot to play while I'm in the kitchen.
We baked some delicious chocolate chip cookies
if you want to come by for some tonite!

Quite the Helper

Laney wants to "HELP" all the time now.

Sometimes she does, but mostly she just gets in our faces.

Jake was finishing up our entertainment center Sunday night
and she wanted to be in the center of it.

 She loves to climb.

This is part of her floor puzzle.  We had put it together just a few times and
one time I got it out and started putting it together and she pointed
to this piece and without hesitation said, "Yak!"
I might be bias, but I believe she is pretty smart.

She likes to help fold clothes.

She is especially fond of the washcloths.

What a ham!

The girl loves eating apple cores.  Of course not the seeds, but nearly all of it.
We might have a soccer player on our hands.

 Look at her balance!

What a Trend setter.  Now you grandmas don't get any ideas!!

Macie hung out with us last Thursday.

They both sat so quietly and watched a movie.
Macie loves movies, never finishes one, but loves the idea of it.

18 months and never a dull moment!

She's getting better at posing with her bear.

 She's a little ham....
 And I love it!

I don't think there is a cuter Cardinal fan.

 She's learning to climb.
She also has learned how to put her hat on and
nearly can put her jacket on by herself.

She still loves to wear my headbands...yes this is mine from gradeschool.
She's also almost able to open the doors.

 She loves Sonic ice...
It was an empty cup.  To my knowledge she has not tasted pop yet.
Hopefully the grandparents and aunts and uncles are following the rules!
