Thursday, June 21st

No evidence today of potty training, but she did again potty on the toilet!
Not only once, but twice!
Aunt Cort and the girls came by in the morning to hang out.
Cort's always good about reading to Laney.
She used to read to me like this too!

I mean, really, does a kid get much cuter than this?

Aunt Whitney and the kids came down today and she wanted one more attempt
of the "Children with the corn" picture.
The mule was in the shop, so we had to take the kids
out to the corn the old fashioned way.

Jett is such a little poser.
He's got a great smile and sweet puppy dog eyes.

 Jett trying to escape.

This one was probably the best one I captured.
Guess we'll see if Whitney had better luck on her blog.

Laney is nearly smiling in this one. (Above)
Maybe this one is the best.

Josie's still smiling, Jett is cheering for more and Laney has had enough.

The cousins trying to get Laney to smile.

She's got the "mean face" pose down.

Despite all our tries to make Laney smile, the cousins can do it the best!

Sweet baby blues.
Can't resist squeezing her!

Day 2 on the potty.

Wednesday after coming home from Mimi's house
we sat her on the toilet and much to our suprise
she pottied without too much coaxing, besides one M&M.
So to reward her we put on her training panties.

And she sure didn't mind showing them off.

We ate supper and had no accidents and were getting ready
to put her in the bath and she said, "Mamma, Potty."
And I rushed her into the bathroom, but it was too late.
Those training pants have great absorbency though.
No puddle was made.
Maybe next week we will have better luck.
It's funny how proud you can be of your daughter
for peeing on the toilet!

Tuesday, June 19th: P is the letter of the day.

P is for POTTY
If at first you don't succeed, try, try again.
Laney allowed me to sit her on the potty 3x on Tuesday.
Each time, she asks for M & M's.
For some reason, it has to be a green one or she wants to put it back.
On the 3rd try, she sat and concentrated real hard.

Then she looked at me like this:

And we had success!
She pottied and pottied some more and she was so pleased with herself.
Then we put on big girl Dora pull-ups and she soaked them a little later.
I guess she will get a hang of it one of these days.
She pottied 3 consecutive days in a row on the toilet.
Hopefully that means we are getting somewhere!

P is also for POOL

Later on before Dad got home for lunch we decided to fill up the pool.
She wanted to get right in and she didn't have her suit on yet.
We tried it naked and then thought better of it since we were in the front yard in town.
(Another reason I hope to move to the country)
So we quickly put on her suit and got in.

But she didn't stay in.
She had to get in and out and bring lots of grass/leaves/sticks back in with her.
Then she asked if I wanted some Mac N Cheese.  I said, "Sure."
She walked on the sidewalk all the way to my car, made some hand motions
and brought back pipin' hot Mac N Cheese.
I don't know how she did it.  But I got my fill of Mac N Cheese.

Not sure what she was doing here.
But we had a great day!

Happy Father's Day

Laney and I decided to write Dad a note.

We celebrated with Papa and Gpa Wayne Saturday night.

Then with Gpa Wade, Gpa Richard, Gpa Steve on Sunday.

Laney was excited to give Gpa his present.

 Need some help?

She already likes the feeling of cash in her hands.

 Could we get some smiles?

 All eyes on Laney.

She loves eating ice and makes this adorable face when she gets some.

Thank God for Fathers.
They have strong hands, but soft hearts.
They can raise their voices, but they can also speak kindly.
They provide for our family,
they protect, guide, and love us unconditionally.
I am thankful for My Dad, My husband, My Father-in-law, My G-pas,
and most importantly my Heavenly Father who has blessed me with all of them.

SUPERGIRL!

Jake decided to make Laney a Super Hero.

 After saving helpless citizens,
she decided to cuddle with Mama.

And Mama loved it!

Happy Camper

Last weekend we went camping at Big Hill with Gpa, Gma, and Uncle Jessie.

We had a nice, relaxing time.
Ate good, napped, went to the beach and ate some more.

Gma put a bib on her while she was eating a popsicle.

She got some bonding time with Uncle Jessie.

 Banana for breakfast!

 Enjoying our morning stroll.

She already knows how to drive.

The thinker or stinker?

Ready to go home!
