Easter and Bubbles

Chasing bubbles at Great Great Gma Lola's

I think its safe to say Laney has her Grandpa
 wrapped around her little finger.

Gma Dalene's bunny got Laney a bubble machine!

 Playing hide and seek

 That's what I call a good day.

Easter 2012

Jake told Laney to go to the living room to see what the Easter bunny brought.

Jake and I had nursery duty at church.
Usually Laney throws a fit if we try to leave her in the nursery.
But if we stay then she is perfectly fine.

This is Laney's friend Truitt

And this is Jaren and Uriah.
Uriah does not like nursery without Momma either.

Brant Easter Egg Hunt

We were all able to get together on Saturday to celebrate Easter.
Once the Benson's arrived, the girls wasted no time and went directly to my mom's
upstairs room which is devoted to her grandkids (mainly granddaughters).
Addie, Macie, and Josie took Laney and dolled her up.

Getting ready for the annual Brant Easter egg hunt

Macie was in the spot light

I thought Laney would be timid about finding eggs.
She proved me wrong and took right off....eggs were her mission.
She was in it to win it!

Papa was her look-out.  Four eyes are better than two.

I think Laney may have been snatching Jett's eggs.

My sisters and beautiful Grandmas

It's always a struggle to get all the kids to pose for a picture.

Really Addie?  You are the oldest, can't you set a good example?

Taking a closer look inside her goody bag.

Laney was too busy examining all of her treasures
to talk to me during this video.

Easter Moon

On Good Friday we got home after dark and the Moon was beautiful.
(I wish I had a better zoom)

As my sister Cortney would say, "It's a whole moon!"

The gleam from the moon was shaped in a cross.
Perfect timing to remind us of what our Lord Jesus did on the cross for us.

At the Park

Macie came over last Thursday to hang out.
We went to Santa Fe park to play before we went to Wal-Mart.

Right after I took this picture, Laney took a face dive into the stairs.
Guess she isn't quite independent on the stairs yet.
 She requires minimal assistance.

Thank goodness for Parks!

This is what I LOVE about Sundays

Getting Laney dressed up for church.
Hearing her jabber on the drive down to Thayer.
Hearing her start to sing along during praise and worship.
Going to visit family after church.

Seeing all of Laney's silly faces.
Trying to get her to pose or at least look at me.
Picking those beautiful dandelions.
Beautiful weather.

Waking up from a nap to wash our cars.

Letting her get wet and dirty and not worrying about it.
Changing her out of her wet clothes into this:

Eating supper outside on the deck.
Watching Laney get upset over....well, not for sure.

Watching this precious little girl grow up is such utter, pure, JOY.
Thank you Lord for giving us Sunday, our day of rest from the stressful
things in life and our chance to focus on what is most important.
