Gma Joy turned 50 on Friday so we took her to KC and stayed 2 nights at Comfort
Suites near The Legends. Our first stop on Saturday morning was Cabela's.
Laney loved the animals and kept pointing and Oooing and Awwwwing!
Gpa and Gma took her around to see all of them including the big fish.
Then we headed to Nebraska Furniture Mart.
Laney and I found a comfy spot to rest our legs.
Laney found a chair just her size and it just happened to be a John Deere recliner.
She cried when I pulled her out of it.
Laney started to get tired and a little cranky but nothing that
a good ol dum dum sucker couldn't cure!
She ended up falling asleep on our way to eat and she slept on me all
through lunch in a noisy restaurant. She then woke up about 40 minutes later
ready to do some more walkin' and shoppin'. We went to TJ Maxx and
she found this hat......
Or is it a potty chair? Yep, its a potty chair.
Laney was plum tuckered out after our big day.
She had to have walked over a mile, maybe two.
When we got back to the hotel we cuddled on the bed for awhile
then she was ready to go again so we went swimming in the hotel pool.
She fell asleep by 8:15...much earlier than normal.
We headed home on Sunday after lunch. We said Jessie had to be home by 3pm
for work to get Joy to leave the city. Little did she know, we had a suprise party
waiting for her at our house. Here is the yummy cake we picked up at Costco.
Three Generations Strong!
I should have had Jake in there to complete the four...what was I thinking??
I couldn't get Laney or Gma Jean to look at the camera.
We opened up our new laptop and Laney decided to use the foam for a hat.
Gpa Wade was happy to play along.
I guess the party wasn't as exciting as I thought.
