Top 20 Loves of Laney at 17 months

Laney is getting to be such a character and she is just so much fun!
She amazes me everyday and my cup overflows with love for her.
#1:  Balls, babies, and handbags. (Not a new one, but still a love)

#2:  Her new cardinals hat and blankie.

She has never been attached to just one blanket,
but she sure does like whatever one is around
especially during nap or bedtime.
As for her hat, she loves anything that will sit on top of her head.
Tonite she grabbed a papertowel and sat it on her head and said, "Hat!"

Laney at our 2012 New Year's Party

The Rousselle's were the hosts and did a great job.  What a cute family!

#3:  Crackers! (also still a love)

 #4:  Sitting in tight places.

This is Uriah, a boy just one month younger than Laney.

#5:  Getting to know new friends.
(Maybe not so much of a Love...remember how she acted with Jett?)

 #6:  Christmas ornaments.
I bragged that Laney had not messed up the tree, but on the eve of Christmas
she decided she wanted to take the bulbs off and then disassemble them.

I was trying to take one more good picture in front of the tree before we took it down.

If only she was looking at me.

#7:  Not sitting still.
Trials with the camera timer...not quite ready.

 #8:  Having tea parties

Having "Cheers" for the first time.

#9:  Drinking from a big girl cup
(She actually ended up breaking this cup not 5 minutes after this picture was taken.
I learned my lesson and gave her a plastic one instead.)

 #10:  Orange juice.

She has never liked juice that much and Grandma Joy gave her Sunny D to try
and since then she has enjoyed her OJ.

 #11:  Cleaning out Daddy's ears

 #11b:  Cleaning out teddy's ear.
She decided that when I cleaned her ears out, she should do the same for
her Daddy and teddy bear.

 Teddy bear was so appreciative.

#12:  Coloring on her new easel.
Grandma Dalene gave her this for Christmas and she loves sitting at her desk
and continues to ask for "Kitties" to be drawn.

This is her growing bear...It looks much smaller these days.

 #13:  Marshmallows!
She has to have her own little cup full.

 #14:  Long afternoon naps.
She wakes up so happy and on this particular day, I heard her talking and she had
turned on her music and was dancing in bed.
#15:  Getting Hair.
I took this view of her (above) because her hair
is long enough to be messed up in back!

 #16:  Silly Face

 #17:  Angry Face

#18:  Anything she can wear as a hat.

 #19:  Jewerly!

She found where I keep all the jewels and I don't think she will forget.

I didn't get a great picture of this, but she was using Minnie as a hat as well.

 #20:  Her new princess Tent.

Tonite, she was crying because I wouldn't let her play with the pennies in her
puppy bankso to distract her I said, "Wanna go in your tent?"
And those were the magic words b/c immediately her demeanor
changed and we were happy playing in the tent.
I now realize why my sisters let their kids get away with
certain things without punishing them.  Sorry for thinking that I knew it all
before I became the Mother of an adorable baby.
Yes, Whitney and Cortney, I can admit when I am wrong.
